We focus on MENTORING to build internal capacity with all of our clients, whether we work with you as an individual, a member of a group training program, or as a larger learning community.
We're all about building healthy, collaborative, and lasting RELATIONSHIPS within and among nonprofit and education institutions... which means using inclusive practices from the start of every idea and encouraging participation in communities of practice after our formal work with you is completed.
We want to MEET YOU WHERE YOU ARE, which means we will listen carefully to your needs and work out a plan to meet those needs through direct services (like grant-writing and external evaluation), and group mentoring and training.
"This class has helped demystify grants and the grant process for me. I feel like I am able to better assess what I don't know and ask questions. Grants are not that scary anymore!"
Course Participant, 2021
"I enjoyed the couse a lot, I liked that it is taught by two instructors with different styles. As a result - I've got a block of consolidated knowledge and skills about fundraising in one part of my brain :). Thank you, Mary and Mandy!"
"Ultimately I learned so much through this experience and it was amazingly helpful to have two people with such expertise to review and answer the questions I had. I went in this experience not very confident but going forward I now know to take full ownership of the project and what questions to ask my supervisors and be direct in my needs. This also helped me to become a more clear and concise writer. I feel much more confident in building a budget and timeline."
"Mary and Mandy truly do "meet you where you are" on your fundraising journey. With their caring, understanding and informative approach, they listened to my questions and concerns and helped to fill in the gaps in my knowledge. The tips and tools they provide have made all the difference in my confidence level, and I feel much more ready to venture out into the world of grants than before. Mahalo to both of you!"

I learned so much from this experience and it was especially interesting to see what kinds of projects my colleagues were working on — such a diverse mix of programming, research, and sustainability focused projects! I look forward to using these new skills in the near future. A huge mahalo to Mary and Mandy for their mentorship!"
