Our projects
A lot has happened since we launched in 2022. In addition to writing and reviewing over 55 fundraising proposals with our clients, we've had some exciting Professional Development (PD) collaborations emerge!

Advancement Strategy Retainer
603 Legal Aid (603LA) provides civil legal services for low-income residents across New Hampshire with a mission to make justice a
reality for all.
Our collaboration focuses on strengthening fundraising systems, mentoring staff in grants management, and designing strategies for sustained growth. Together, we’ve developed approaches that balance immediate funding needs with long-term organizational capacity — including new pathways in government relations, corporate sponsorship, and Congressional appropriations.
Highlights:
- Developed comprehensive fundraising roadmap and grant pipeline.
- Mentored staff on proposal development, collateral design, and pitching asks.
- Supported flagship initiatives such as the Justice Bus and Hope for Heroes veteran legal aid programs.
Fundraising SOPs and Evaluation Strategy
Hawai‘i’s Bishop Museum is home to one of the most important collections of Pacific natural and cultural heritage.
Our work with Bishop Museum bridged fundraising and evaluation: creating consistent internal systems, developing a unified evaluation framework, and building tools with potential to strengthen collaboration between departments.
Highlights:
- Designed institutional evaluation guidebook and templates.
- Created project development and fundraising SOPs that align departments and streamline project approvals.
- Mentored staff in cross-departmental communication and reporting.
- Stewarded federal and private donor relationships.

GrantsGen and Grants 101
We've led multiple iterations of grant mentorship and training programs custom -- each custom-fit to the needs and goals of participating organizations.
One example is our collaboration with the National Association for Interpretation (NAI), where we developed and facilitated GrantsGen, a national professional development course designed to help interpreters and nonprofit staff strengthen project design and grant-seeking skills.
Our partnership extended beyond the course itself, supporting participants as they learned to cultivate funding relationships, connect proposals to mission-driven storytelling, and build confidence in their fundraising approach.
Highlights:
- Designed curriculum and online learning tools for national cohort.
- Mentored professionals across interpretive centers, parks, and museums.
- Advanced capacity in project development, budgeting, and proposal writing.
Growing Capacity Project
Funded in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services, the Growing Capacity Project (GCP) was a two-year initiative designed and led by NPGG in partnership with Bishop Museum.
The program supported Hawai‘i’s museum and cultural professionals through hands-on training, mentorship, and resource-sharing to strengthen nonprofit administration and leadership skills across the islands.
Highlights:
- Served 26 individual participants who filled 36 seats in three separate programs.
- Organizations spanned across six islands.
- Developed a public YouTube training library and open-source toolkit.
- Centered Native Hawaiian and local voices through collaborative design.

The Growing Capacity Project was fueled by time, passion, creativity, and an incredible spirit of community goodwill. Want to see what we built together? Click below to learn more.
